It's time to start afresh...

It decided to went on a retreat before I leave for my Taiwan trip.

Ironically, it's a Taiwan phone...

When I first went to the M1 store in Jun'2011, I was all set out to just get an iPhone 4.
I brought 2 friends along with me who were non iPhone supporters.
(I'm not blaming you folks, coz every1 has a choice & I'd make my own. You didn't put me at gun point.)
The sales personnel there recommend a few other phones too.

Samsung was my first choice but it was out of stock and have to wait for 2 months.
But my hp back then was about to die any moment, so my next option was HTC Sensation.

Within 1 mth, the rubber insulator for the USB cable starts to crack.

Had wanted to go for a 1-to-1 exchange, but didn't know where the service centre was.
Since it was still sort of usable, I didn't bother to find out either.

After using the hp for 6mths, it started to act cranky.
It always restart on its own & has become more frequent recently; at least once a week.
Sometimes, even afew times each day! -_-"

On 2 occasions, the battery went totally flat & the hp was switched off when I have fully charge it the night before.

That caused me to be late for my appt the next day.
I'm lucky that it was a non-working day for both days.
I got scared & bought an alarm clock from Qiqi.
(Paid $0.50 cos superstitious mah, Chinese cannot give clock - 送钟(终) to people.)

Finally, I couldn't take it anymore & decided to bring it to the service centre before the 1yr warranty is up.

Coz the cable couldn't make it either, always need to position it at a strategic position before the electricity can flow.

Now, I'm back to using a Nokia6500, the type of basic hp with no whatsapp, no FB, no fanciful images, no large touch screen, etc.

You can only call or sms me should you need to contact me.
At the same time, do tell me who you are.
I've forgotten to save the contacts & my sim card has 0 contact.

Well, to look on the bright side, I've been procrastinating for the longest to switch service provider & change a new no.
At least, now I've lost contact numbers which I didn't bear to delete for a long time...
Maybe my number has long been deleted from their phonebooks, so now, it's time for me to lose theirs too. . .

Perhaps, I should call up M1 and ask for vouchers to get new hp. . . ^_^

When I was comparing the improvements month against month, I wasn't very pleased or motivated.
However, when I click on the graph page, I think it's quite an achievement. =P

For the period 20/03/10 - 20/10/2011, (I've missed taking in Nov & Dec 2011), it was a total of 7.5% fat lost & 3.6% muscle mass gained for me.

That was before I started Mike Chang's program.
ARGH! -_-"
I started his program in Oct'11 & I actually forgot to take my measurements for 2 mths after that!
Who's Mike Chang?
Well, he's a personal trainer whom I accidentally saw his video on YOUtube & find them really useful for fats burning & muscle gaining!
Then I got hooked on working out & motivated in becoming fit like him!

The guy with the eagle tattoo...

For those who have not heard; yes, I went to do my first tattoo. =)
I did a temporary one when I went Melacca for my company's annual outing as I've wanted to know roughly how it would look like.
Well, I think that it looks pretty nice so I finally decided to go do a real one.

Tadah!
The first day I went back to BP in preparation for the long CNY holidays ahead, I visited the local tattooist my cousin & cousin in law goes to.

The real one - I feel that it looks AWESOMELY GREAT! =D

Most folks around me are not happy or seem agreeable to it.
But, it's my life, my arm, you think I bother how you feel?

I am rebellious, it's a fact I do not deny.
I am stubborn & that's my unofficial middle name.

Some said I did it because of her.
I'm telling you the truth now.
Yes, but not 100%. The most 10%!

I've been wanting to get one since a long time back.
I tell you, getting a tattoo is painful coz my endurance for pain is not very high.
So, receiving all these pain simply to spite her is totally not worth a single bit.
But to satisfy my own "can't find the right word", the pain was no big deal. =P

The outcome, "Fave animal at the right spot with the perfect size!"
What more can I say except, "Mission accomplished! PERFECT!"
No more second one though. haha *lol*
Overdoing anything is bad.

Oh, and on a side note...
I usually hate to explain to others or clarify misunderstandings, but I need to fight for justice.
Some of you have heard from her, "Ivan pushed me, that's why I scolded them unfilial."
The fact was, while I was merely trying to prevent a mad woman from opening the door for an evil scumbag who would bring possible harm to my sisters, I protected my family by pushing her away from the door.

And if you asked how pain tattoo-ing was; it could have been very painful.
However, as I've just been "stabbed/killed" 2 weeks back before my tattoo session, the pain was nth at all.
I've been through the worst.

Last but not least, after all these drama, I was glad that all along, I told everyone including her, "In this life, the woman I love most is my grandma."

Doom day came early for us.

They have said the world would come to an end on 20th Dec 2012.But perhaps my sisters & mine would come earlier than that...
01st Feb 2012 - Every 1st of Feb in the previous years, it was a joyful day for my family.

This year, it might be different & if things don't take a turn from here; in the years to come, it'll always be a dreadful day.

We have tried all ways, praying to Gods of our own religions.
Getting ppl from everywhere to try talk some senses into her.
Even praying to my dad & grandparents to enter her dreams & talk her out of this stupid idea.

Nothing works, 问神，求人，拜祖先。

I'm not leaving anything to chance.

My dear readers, this is no joke, my sisters & I strongly believe this scumbag who wants to marry my mum only after dating for 2 months is definitely up to no good.

Do my family & I this favor. Should we really come to any mishaps, report him to the police.
He's definitely the top no.1 suspect.

Do not let this scumbag gets scott-free.

Typing the whole conversation above makes my blood boils once more, but I need to let the whole world knows what happened.

It didn't end there. He refused to leave and so I have no choice but to call the police.

He still have the cheek to answer, "It's nth, some family issue."

So, I told the police, "He's not my family member."
My sister continued, "He came here & wants to take my mum away."

I don't need to type out the whole conversation & the whole world with a clear mind knows this person has an ulterior motive.

Just a simpe qns of why can't you wait for a year?

He avoided it 100% of the times & answer with other irrelevant stuff.

The only idiot who believes it is the one who thinks nth of her own family & everything about him.

We are just the baddies, trying to stop her from being happy.
Go ahead & do what you want! I don't care a hoot about you anymore.
My task now is only to protect my 2 sisters from any harm possible.

Your words and actions yesterday have totally murdered the 3 of us, leaving us with scars which we would never forget this whole life.

I LOVE HAMMIES!!

Most ppl should know this; but why, some may ask.

There's no specific reason though and in fact, I love most animals! =P

That's why I love to go to the Zoo Zoo Zoo!

Yoshi has passed on & I'd thought of getting a new companion.

Dearest Ah-Dai offered me her hammies!
Originally, I only wanted 1 and let it be named Hei bi (Hokkien), 黑皮 (Chinese) & Happy(English)!

But coz the 2 hammies she has are close like superglue, she couldn't bear to separate them.
In the end, I brought i-Jia & i-Le home and bought a divider cage for them.
(They still live under 1 roof where they can smell and "talk" to each other. Only thing is they can't get intimate.)
To most, it seems cruel. To me, it's just being responsible owner. =)
Breeding is not doing your pets good if you're not prepared to take care of too many at one time.
Pets are not toys which you can just shelve them off whenever you're not interested anymore.
Their well-being is our responsibility.
My pets are like my babies, I only want the best for them.

As of 16th Dec 2011, I've officially moved into the master bedroom (some said the masturbate room) of my house.

NO, I wasn't the one to initiate. I am definitely not trying to "snatch" the ownership of the house, don't watch too much drama, folks! haha *lol*

Actually, it was b'coz my aunties asked my sisters to watch over my mum's health and they decided to bunk in with my mum.
So, now my mum's sleeping in my sisters' room & they've converted my room into their study room.

For me, I'm enjoying the BIGGER bed with my softies.

End up, I'm taking only 1 side of the bed. . .
The only downside with the bigger bed is I have lesser space for my daily workout.
I kept knocking on my cupboard & the bedside, getting more blue black on my arms & legs siaz. ='(

Cobwebs are buildling up. . .

1 of the few readers I've left is making noise again!
Complaining that my blog is TOO QUIET & cobwebs are all over it.
I was busy, really too busy for the past few months.

For those few who already know, I've took over my colleague's new portfolio with NO PROMOTION OR PAY RAISE.
To your disappointment, no free lunches/dinners for you folks.
Yes, I didn't ask my boss anything about that.
Before you start commenting how silly I am, pls find out what kind of person she is first.
But it's okay lah, I strongly believe she'll give me what I deserved.
Throughout my 3 years of working with her, she has never ill-treat me with the staff welfare/benefits I should get.
Let's just wait till next promotion period in July to see how, yah?

My exams are finally over & if all goes well, I'll be CAT certified!
Results will be out in Feb. =) *prays hard*

Long weekends for Christmas were spent on gatherings & not even leaving me for spare time to catch up on my handsome sleep.
Not that I'm complaining, at least I've had SO MUCH FUN catching up with my family & friends!
For the next long weekends for New Year that's coming up, I'll be heading to Penang with my family for a much awaited meetup with my paternal side relatives.
For most of them, it was 11yrs ago since we last met them at my paternal grandparents' wake.
It had really been a very long time. . .

That should be all for the time being, shall update once when I'm free.
Hope that won't be too long from now. Heez =P

Out of sight is ~~equal~~ to out of mind after all...

Coz u said we were better off as friends, I respected your decision.
We still keep in touch via sms/whatsapp/emails.
No longer do I ask you out, not that I don't wana see you, but I need time to get over it.

I thought I've gotten over you, till you informed me that you were leaving...

U have had plans on this even when we were still hanging out tgt.

I should be more or less prepared but you seem to be contemplating on that idea back then so I didn't think much of it either.

Like I've said, at least I'm glad you kept me informed on your decision.

Though I felt kind of lost when you told me abt it, I wish you all the best in this giant leap!

It's good to have a change of environment; the outside world is big and you really ought to explore it while you can.

We don't meet up as often now even when you are in Sg, now that you're flying off to pursue your career in another country, who knows when would we get to meet again...

A day of mixed emotions...

It'd been a very long time since I last blogged.
For the past one week, I was quite stressed as Mummy was admitted to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital ICU.

My sisters stayed over at the hospital to look after her.
For me, I'll head over after work every day.
On usual days, I'm already not having enough sleep.
So, with the madness rush, you can guessed how tired I was.

It doesn't help when the exams period is here.
Exams is a killer & revision is a real torture.
I wondered how much brain cells were killed.
To be honest, the paper was easy IF I'd read through ALL the chapters.
Nope, I'm not being complacent. It's just that I simply hate school.

Now I only wish for a pass so that I can successfully get the CAT cert for my boss.
Yes, she makes me go through this 2 years of pain & suffering.
Yup, I heard you. It's good to go for further studies, blah blah blah.
It's just me lah, I think I'm not cut out for studies.
I'm never gona take up any course in the near future.
Thank god it was being sponsored by the company! =P

But I think it wasn't a wise move.
Now that I've studied & understand more, I'm start to feel that accounting line may not be what I want.
Perhaps it's also because of the added workload of my new portfolio which I dread for now.

Like I've told CL some time back; when the time comes for me to change job, I'm thinking of switching over to what she's doing now.
So, if you are still in where you are now, I hope we can be colleagues, yah? =P

Mum was discharged this afternoon. We were all thrilled! v(^_^)o
Hope she stays healthy from this moment on. Gona watch her diet & sleeping habits as well.
Wonder when can we PULL her out of the house for some brisk walking though...

It's the closing period & I've wanted to stay OT but decided to go home for Ohana's welcome dinner for Mum instead.
Coz though I still like my job, I LOVE MY OHANA MORE! (^^,)

However, the first sight that greeted me upon stepping into my room was not a pleasant one...
Just like usual, I greeted my baby who would normally response to my call as it's either play or makan time for him!
Today, he didn't move an inch; he simply lay there in his fave spot with flies around him.
My heart sank... I know what it means.

Surely it's not because the cage was dirty because I've just changed it last night.
Praying for a miracle; I knocked on his cage in hope of seeing him with his startled & blur face.
But... it never happen.

He looks as if he was just sleeping peacefully, isn't it?

Yoshi was special.

I stood there watching his lifeless body.

Usually, I was calm and knew the immediate thing to do.
Yes, take a plastic bag, dump everything in & throw down the rubbish chute.

Tonight, my hands trembled a bit, my mind was in a whirlpool.

I closed he cage door.

And on our way to dinner, I went to buy a pack of soil.

Taking an empty flower pot, I filled half of it with the fresh soil.

Then I lifted Yoshi out of his cage, his body was stiff & slightly warm.

He's the first pet I ever carried the corpse in my hands.

After placing him on the soil, my hands trembled once more.

My heart felt as if it was knotted.
Pausing for some moments, I started to pour more soil onto his body.

My heart felt a stab; I want to cry but there came no tears.

It's painful, really very painful to bury your own "son".

But I know he has gone to a better world to be with his other hammie siblings and friends...

Yoshi, may you rest in peace and be happy wherever you are now.
Papa loves you! =)

When was the last time you received good customer service?
And if you do, what would you do?
Would you compliment the service staff on the spot or write a compliment letter thereafter?
Most of us will probably do nothing about it or maybe just tell a few close friends.

Well, perhaps I was in need of some nice things myself or I was simply in a good mood.
I wrote the first compliment letter of my life.

Recently, I received excellent service & I told myself I really must get home & write a compliment letter for the staff.
And below was what I sent to the management of my fave fast food outlet, McDonalds. =)

I've always been ordering fries without salt from McDonalds. A big lover of Mac fries but not a fan of salty stuff.

On 15th Nov 2011, around 9 - 10pm, I ordered a small coke light without ice & medium fries without salt (as usual) at the McDonalds opposite Yew Tee Point/MRT. As I stood there waiting for my fries, I was observing the staff at work.

Well, the counter staff misheard I was taking away the order when I was having an eat in order and when I told the server it was for having here, she didn't seem happy.
For the two staff with not so good service, they were saved by their go the mile colleague, Qing Xiang.

While waiting for the fries to be cooked, I saw her bringing the fries packer to wash. When she came back to the fries station, she wipes off the salt residue on the fries pan/container (whatever you call that, where you poured the ready fries in) with a napkin.

That packet of fries was one of the best well served one ever. My friends and I were really amazed to taste REAL saltless fries after visiting so many outlets & ordered countless packets of fries without salt.

Let Qing Xiang knows she has done a very good job in a simple order! =)

You Are The Apple Of My Eye

I've read 九把刀's books before & this movie has been highly recommended by friends who have watched it.
Even a lot of Taiwan celebrities & 1 of my fave DJs, Xiao Jiao Hui said it's a very nice show.
So since then, I've been waiting for it to be released in Sg.

Having heard such good reviews, a full of high expectations me went to catch this movie with Ohana.
My sisters gave it a 5/5 rating.

I don't know how to grade it though.
I like how the story goes but not the ending...
But well, maybe at times, we need non fairy tales ending stories to remind us what reality is?
Or perhaps, imperfect is beautiful in their own ways?
Nevertheless, I think everyone of us need to go watch this show.
Like the trailer said, "每个男孩心中都有一个沈佳宜。"
I think 90% of the guys or even girls out there had once met someone whom they wished they knew how to treasure them back then?

Quite a lot went through my mind during the show...
Sweet memories, sad regrets & the list goes on.
After the show, Qiqi said, "That's why if you like/love someone, let him/her knows."
I know. However, it's not that easy...

Was at the crossroad & now I've chosen the path to take!

Well, when I first heard from others, I was contemplating if I should or rather how to reject the offer.
I thought I wasn't well prepared for the change.
But nothing happened for the rest of the week after I was told of the news.
So, I thought all was settled & I happily went back to my hometown. =D
Spent wonderful times with my babies cousin & nephew!

Back at BP, Mum & aunties wanted to go to this fortune teller, so being the all-time chauffeur, I drove them to the place & conveniently have my fortune told too.
I didn't go there with a specific issue to ask abt, coz I thought it was just a tagged along thing.
The fortune teller said, "You have missed out a lot of opportunities in the past. Simply because you stood still & refuse to move forward to seize the opportunity that came by due to your fear. There's a BIG one coming soon again. Go for it! For if you take this up, you'll get what you've wanted. However, if you missed this once more, you never know when the next one would be. A benefactor will come to "kick your ass" to move you forward & grab this chance."

I was still in doubt. So I went Bugis Temple & drew a lot.
"You are a jewel waiting to be discover. Look no further but to wait. A jewel valuer will come along & realize your value."

Today, boss asked me into her office just 5 mins before I rush off from work to sch.
It's from the horse's mouth now & I knew I wldn't be able to reject what she offered/suggested.
A colleague is leaving and my boss has intention to switch me over & take up her roles.
I've to agree with what she said and I know it's for my own good.
It'd been 3 years since I came in & do what I'm doing now and since I'm finishing my course in Dec this year, this is a good chance for me to change portfolio and try something new.
Since it has more or less been fixed, I shall just do the best that I can.

Buddha will watch over me.
This is quite eerie though; Qiqi did an online lot drawing (求签）& went Bugis temple to draw another one. She got the same lot number for both.

Maybe it's coincidental, but as a Buddhist, I believe that's Buddha's answer to our prayers.

Perhaps, my self-confidence at work is not as high as with my social life.

Either blogging has gotten too boring/taxing for me or I'm too busy or maybe I'm just plain lazy lah, here's a pretty outdated blog entry...

On 30th Sep 2011, the zhus celebrated Sy's b'day!

Our dearest zhuzi aka yz aka 1 stick aka Manly (her new name) recommended us this steamboat place, "Le Le Pot (乐乐锅)".
The owner is an actor from Mediacorp. (I duno his name, he always act as bad guy de).
Once u reached the shop, you'll surely know who he is if you do watched Mediacorp shows, coz his photos are everywhere on the wall! =P

Well, in my own opinion, I think the food is fresher & tastier than Chong Qing Steamboat.
However, as we didn't have a "good" experience on our first (other than yz) visit, that's prob our last time there too.

When we were settling the bill, they claimed that we have more than 4 balls (I think meatballs) floating in the soup & wanted to charge us food wastage of $10.
So we said, "Alright, we shall go back to finish the balls."
However, upon turning back, we saw the waitress started to pour all other stuff into 1 of the pots.
So, we told the cashier, "Even if we wanted to finish the food, there's no way we can do it now."

And then, after blaming the waitress for clearing the table when she has told her not to, the cashier said, "In that case, I shall charge you $5 then."
Throughout the settlement, she kept mumbling, "Told you not to keep, if not, could have charge $10."

Alright, we admit we were partly at fault for not checking if we finished the food.
But since you agreed (involuntarily) to charge only $5, then so be it.
Stop grumbling! -_-"

Coz we were too hungry by the time we reached, we attacked the food almost immediately & didn't take much photos. =P

After dinner, we headed to Great World City for some drinks at TCC.
This place has not changed much since 12yrs back; more than half of the stores stayed where they used to be back then.
A very nostalgic place for me indeed. =)

When we were there, ~~Andrea~~ most of us "had fun" teasing the waiter who talked more to gu-niang than darling. haha *lol*
He got so scared of us & told us that it's his last week of work there. haha =P
No lah, I think he's a student & sch's prob opening for him the week after le.

Time flies; it'd been 11yrs since we first know each other, though the group gatherings get less frequent & smaller nowadays, the bond is here to stay.

Is getting what we've been hoping for really the best?

7yrs ago, when Dad first left us, I thought, "Finally, no one to bother me & I have my freedom from now on!"
However, it didn't take me long to realize it's not really as FANTASTIC as I always thought it woudl be when he was still around.
Though I don't miss his nagging, bad temper & beatings when he get really fed-up with the full of attitude me, things didn't get very much better without him.
In fact, there are quite a couple of times I wished he was still around.

So, I'm not very sure if we get what we have been hoping for will really be the best for us.

Recently, my friends received the news of their boss' resignation.
In his times, he has caused a handful of his staff to leave as they can't stand the way he managed them.
However, now that he has resigned, his staff are in a dilemma.
They were supposed to be happy coz all these while some of them have been hoping he would leave.
When he's finally leaving soon, mixed feelings got stirred up.

Perhaps, we don't really know what do we really want?
Or we only start to treasure what we had when we are losing or have lost them?
Haiz... HUMANS!

Sidetrack :-
When it gets too difficult or even pointless to hold on, the easiest way out is to let go & move on...

Some ppl can live without love & some has never ever fallen in love for their whole lives.
There's absolutely nothing wrong in that.

Virgos are star signs of romantic characters, they totally believe in love & because of this, sometimes became victims of love.
Love definitely plays a GREAT part in most Virgos' lives.

As for me, I can't imagine my life without it.
Wait a min!
When I said love, it's not just about the love you have for a partner, it can be family love, friendship love or love for your pet.

However, for this entry, let's just concentrate on the love for a partner. (^_^)

You feel like you are in heaven when you fell in love. (Let's just assume the majority feels that way.)
And it definitely feels like hell when you are out of it.
Some went to the extreme into doing silly/funny/stupid/weird things, whatever you name them.
Yes, I was one of them. But nah, that was history. =P

For some, all they need is 1 - 2 mths to get over a failed relationship.
Others, maybe a year or 2.
How long is long, how short is short or what is the so-called appropriate period for the healing process?
Who has the rights to judge another?

There are SO MUCH factors involved.
Time is just PERHAPS 1 of them.

The amount of time taken by anyone to mend his/her own heart is not part of a formula/equation.
E.g : Take 1 - 2 mths = This person was not even serious in the previous r/s, that's why the recovery rate was fast. Neither does a yr or 2 means the person has given all in the previous r/s.

It's alright to be sad for a long/VERY LONG period or even sleep a night & forget everything about the breakup & heartache the very next day.
Who does the others think they are to judge?

When we were maybe 16years old, it's fine IF we take 7yrs to totally give up & forget about someone who doesn't care about how you felt after the breakup.
So what if you cried all night & heart aches each time you thought of the other person?
They don't even give a damn.

Or if you are like Yang Guo from Condor Heroes, you waited 16yrs & get to be with the person you loved, then life's good for you.

However, if you are like me, 28years old with a personal target to get married at around the age of 32.
You can't take TOO LONG to get over a breakup or rejection.

Speedy recovery & finding the courage to move on is a MUST!
If that person wasn't meant to be, what's the point in waiting or brooding over for?
Keep a lookout for someone else who's worthy of your love & hopefully will be the one you can spend the rest of your life with.
Isn't that SO MUCH better? d(^_^)b

I may not be the handsome bf a girl can bring out to show off...

Nor am I a muscular bf who can beat the lecherous guys to a pulp...

Or the humorous bf who can always make his girl & her girl friends laugh all night...

I am the kind of bf who probably finish last in the race of courtship but I want to make my girl feels that she is the most perfect woman in this world who definitely deserve the best & shower her with all that I have.

When I get married...

I want my wife to feel that she has make the right choice & never regret for the rest of her life.

Once I put the ring on her ring finger, I know she's the one I'll stay faithful to for as long as I live.

What I've been listening recently!! =)

Eagle Pan (more commonly known as 潘美) has recently formed a band with Joanna Moon.Their debut album "Eagle & Moon" was released in Aug 2011.

A MV can either make or break a song; I came to realize that when I saw the MV for their song, "伤心神话" & "就是想爱你".
I saw the two MVs just 1 - 2 weeks before the album is out; even as Eagle's fan, I was totally disappointed.
The MV was quite lame & the mixingof the 2 wonderful voices was badly done, it makes the whole song sounded messy + crappy.

However, when I bought the CD & played it in my car while I was driving, it sounded totally differently without the images from the MV.

If one dedicates his/her 100% attention on just listening to the songs in the sequence it was arranged, you can actually feel the emotions by the Prince & Princess of the story.
I'm not sure if that was the intention of the producers.
However, through all the songs, I saw images of the story about a Prince & Princess from the initial stage of falling in love, facing difficulties in their love journey & being forced to be separated, then how they came to reunite once more in another life.
It's a sad but beatiful love story.

I totally love Pan Mei's looks in this album!!
My cool prince! =D

Moon has a nice & powerful voice as well.

Though I'm still not very used to the songs they sang together like "伤心神话" & "就是想爱你" (it's all the MVs' fault!), I quite like the song, "Red Snow" performed solo by Moon.

The lyrics, erm. . . No doubt they're nice, but. . . Go search for urself to know wat's written in it.
Interesting finding for me though.

At 1st, when I was listening to the song, I couldn't make out the KEY WORDS.
But that song sounded pretty nice to me, so I went to take a look at the lyrics & WOAH!

And my fave songs by Pan Mei in this album is "完美奇迹" & "我怎么可以".
Of coz I'm still loving each & every song of hers.

2nd Sep :- My love, Hebe released her 2nd solo album, "My Love".

Immediately, I went to the album store but couldn't find the CD.

So, the next day, I went to find again & tadah!!

If you asked me, I would think this album is a continuation of the 1st album.

Though the styles are pretty much the same, if I've describe the 1st album to being a nice choice to listen to on a rainy night, I think this 2nd album suits putting on our ear piece while suntanning on our sunny beaches.

Personally, there's not much of a surprise element in the songs for me.
However, it's gd that at least Hebe does sth she knows she's best at & not letting fans or pure listeners down with her GREAT voice.

(Better than some singers who tried to imitate other popular singers & ended up making fools of themselves & torturing the listeners' ears.)

2 of my fave songs from this album are "还是要幸福" & "影子的影子".

And if u've not known, the last song which was written by Soda Green (苏打绿) - 吴青峰 is specially written for Hebe to sing for Selina.

By strategically putting it at the last song, it adds on to the emoness of this song.

Selina's bf, Ah Zhong's tears fell when he listened to this song in his car.
You need to be with Selina all these while as she slowly recovers, seeing the pain she went through & how she put on a strong front in order not to let her loved ones worry for her to truly feel the lyrics deep down into your heart.

Grade A friend brought me to "Food For Thoughts" for brunch.

They serve b'fast all day! I super love it! v(^_^)p

But I heard reservation have to make 2 weeks in advance, so those who wana go can start making reservations or just head down & wait for a walk in table.

Then it was shopping at JB's KSL City.

The 1st time I went with my company, not many shops were opened.
Now, it's in full operations & I would say there's quite alot to see & shop. =D
But for guys' fashion, I think not very cheap as compared to Sg.
Bugis Street (not considering the crowd factor) might be a better place for guys to buy fashionable wear! =P

My desk is small but I managed to rearrange it to accommodate my new COOL speakers!

Previously, bought a fish tank like new cage for Yoshi as his 1st yr b'day prez...

But I think he finds it TOO SMALL & have to use his water bottle to hit against the sides all night to make clear his protestation.
I couldn't get a proper slp for that few days...
I was left with no choice but to get him a new BIGGER cage to run about.

Had a few celebrations before my actual day. . .

Canopy Garden Dining with zhus at Bishan Park!

How did I come to know of this place? I saw it online, that was what I told them.

But exactly where, right? Ok, from Sunshine's check in on FB.

She frequent this place. =P
The food & drink were not up to zhus' & partners' liking though I find it quite alright.
But like Qiqi said I'm not in a good position to do the food review as sub-consciously I'll think it's nice since it's one of Sunshine's fave hangout.

And it's Sabio with CL & my 女人！

It was recommended by 女人's colleague who said there are cute guys there. (1 of the ladies' motives to be there.)

So, off we went to try out the food.

Though there were no main dishes, most of the side dishes were nice.
For cute guys, I think only 1 of their chef is kind of pleasant looking lah.
A lot of ang mohs hang out there though.

Oh! The wine was good! Can try!

Things may have changed, ppl might have left but when it comes to celebrations of all sorts, we are still a group of HAPPY folks!
They are part of my remaining source of energy in carrying on.

As of 11th Aug 2011:-
Fat (%) - 28.4 (increase of 0.6%!!)

BMI - 24.1 (a drop of 0.4)
Resting Metabolism - 1246 (drop of 27!)
Muscle (%) - 26.5 (drop of 0.6%)
Weight (kg) - 57.8 (1kg lighter)

If I've used a normal scale, I'll probably be delighted at my 1kg lighter in weight...
But, with the scale I used, I'm so devastated!! OMG!

In conclusion, metabolism rate dropped with a slower fat burning process has caused my loss of 0.6% muscle & a gain of 0.6% fat instead!

It was all predestined...

Coming 18th Aug 2011 (19th day of lunar 7th mth), I'll be turning 29 for my lunar age.

Back then, I've lost my Dad for nearly 4years...

I thought I've found a fatherly figure to look upon to & show my respects for.

At least for these 3 years, I've believed that I've found one.

I refused to believe when others told me nothing is fair in this world.

At certain points of time during these 3 years, I once felt you were.
I'm thankful for those moments though. =)

When others complained, I told them & reaffirm myself that you are a wise man & you play fair.

When others talked bad about you, I defended you.
My heart was stabbed, it feels like they are criticising my own dad.

Endurance is pushing oneself over the extreme limit you thought it was!

As much as I was desperate to come home & play Dragon Nest, (or Bird Nest as my wives call it, coz they're jealous that the game is more impt than them now.) I choose a healthier & fitter body over the addictive game.

So I went for a jog that was longer than my usual one.

Partly because for the 3rd time of this mth, the stadium was NOT AVAILABLE for jogging!!!

ARGH! -_-"

As I ~~struggled~~ steadily jog my way back, I set some targets for myself.

By the end of this year, 2011, I want to shed all my belly fats.

And I hope to start ~~doing marathons~~ running races next year.
(Correction : Coz Qiqi said marathon = 42.195km, I can't do that now just yet.)

To others 10km is nth while 5km to me is already a torture.

I'm not sure of the healthy range to lose fats & gain muscles.

Let's just put as 1% fats loss & 0.5% muscle gain each month, 1st?
(Till I do more research on what is reasonable.)

And I shall work towards showing my washboard abs to my wives by Dec 2012! =P

Men's Health advice, "To push yourself further & making sure you achieve your target, make your current stats & set targets PUBLIC."

For the weekends that just passed, I've been playing this game, Dragon Nest for no less than 10hrs.

Becoming a panda soon le. . . (o_o)

I've so much on my to do list, but. . .

This game is simply too irresistable!

1) Homework (Only completed for today's lesson, Wed's one not yet.)

2) Exercise (Extreme workout for abs on Sat & Sun)
3) Change Yoshi's cage (Done!)

4) Ironing clothes (Done!)

5) Story (KIV)

6) Tidying of room (KIV)

Not that bad after all. . . I've completed 3.5/6 of the tasks.

Left with Wed's homework to be completed maybe tomorrow?

And the last 2 on my to do list for this coming weekend. . .

Because I love you. . .

I know you want nothing more than my blessing.

Even though, I have a strong feeling that he might not be the one to bring you happiness in the long run & you probably might get yourself hurt once more, I know you will not change your mind even if I told you so.

I know it's hard enough for you to convince others who always give you the doubtful look & try to bring you down because of the past.

That's why I will give you all the support you need.

I will not ask you to reconsider your decision on being with him because I might be wrong.

What if he really is the one for you?
Then I would have prevented you from achieving happiness and that's the last thing I would ever want to do.

I would just let you come to me & cry your heart out. . .

If. . . In future, it really ended up to be a wrong decision made.

If I told you he's not meant to be the one you should be with & when things go wrong, you might think, "I shall not go to Ivan cos he already warned me before. If I go to him now, he'll probably tell me, I told you so."

Though I definitely will not say, "I told you so.", you might have hesitation to come to me if I speak what I think & how I feel now. Then you might be so lost with no one to go to & that is not what I want to see either.

Had heard of this wonderful news on the next day it happened, but I was really too busy to update.

Anyway, if u've not known, 1 of my idols, Jacelyn Tay has given birth to a healthy baby boy on 5th July 2011 at around 3pm!

Congrats to beautiful Mummy Jacelyn on successful delivery of baby Zavier Huang Zheng!

Just last week former MediaCorp actress Jacelyn Tay gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Jacelyn, who is now a business woman married her husband Brian Wong in October of last year, conceived almost immediately during their honeymoon in Bali, according to a report by Xin MSN website.

Jacelyn had revealed last year during her wedding that she hoped to become pregnant as soon as possible, because she did not want to be a 'mature mummy'. However, the couple wasn't expecting a pregnancy right after their honeymoon.

In an interview conducted by the local media, Jacelyn said that the baby's initial due date was on 12 July, but had arrived six days ahead of schedule.

The former actress, who expected the baby to be arriving earlier, had already packed her things to go to the hospital in advanced.

Jacelyn also revealed that she started experiencing contractions at around 6am on 5 July, after which she calmly woke her husband and the couple headed to the hospital together. The contractions lasted about seven hours before Jacelyn successfully delivered the baby at around 3pm.

The pair named their son Huang Zheng, which means "integrity". Jacelyn let on that the name was inspired by a dream she had previously. The baby was also given the English name Zavier, which means "a new beginning".

During the interview, Jacelyn also revealed her intention of having another baby, just so her son would have a sibling. However, the former actress added that she would leave it to nature to decide.

Most of you probably have heard, in this sequel of Kungfu Panda, our hero, the dragon warrior, Po is gona find out his real identity; who he really is & the meaning of his existence.

Be prepared to say/hear, "Oh, so cute!!!" afew times in this movie. =D
Afew cutie little ones appeared everywhere in the show this time round.

There're also a couple of touching scenes in the movies.
The hard core will know & feel it too. =)

Expect better Kungfu skills from Po & more fighting scenes involving the dragon warriors & the furious five!

Need a good laugh to relieve all those stress?
You have gota learn from Master Shifu on attaining inner peace.

And my fave is still Tigress voiced by Angelina Jolie!!!
Tigress is just so her!! (^^,)

Pirates of the Caribbean - On Stranger Tides

Stayed back after work to watch Pirates of the Caribbean - On Stranger Tides.
First, coz it's Pirates & second coz it's Johnny Depp.
If not, I don't think I'll ever waste my 2hrs 18mins sitting there to watch a movie when I have so much more better things on hand to do.

4th instalment of the Pirates, just like any of the previous ones; you get Pirates, Sea, Treasures, Ships, the fighting scenes & OF COURSE pretty faces!

Astrid Bergès-Frisbey starred as the mermaid, or rather 1 of the mermaids.
They certainly make the whole show a wee bit more exciting. =D

I got excited only for 2 short scenes of the shows.
One was when the mermaids appeared, the other one, I forgot when either le. haha *lol*
1/2 an hr into the movie, I was yawning already.

If you really wana watch this movie, be it for Johnny, the "branded" blockbuster name "Pirates", pretty faces or any other reasons, DON'T catch it when you're tired.
You'll be wasting your $$.

Remember to stay after the LONG credit (>5mins) if the 5 secs last scene is impt for you to consider that you have watched the WHOLE show.
If not, forget it.
It merely "hinted" that Johnny will still have another Pirates show coming his way!! =P
Though it was a disappointment this time, I certainly wouldn't mind risking/wasting anor 2hrs watching the next Pirates show!

Just came back from my night jog, I always get crazy ideas of all sorts flowing through my mind when I go jogging.

If only the ideas of my story, "By Chance" will flow directly from my brain to the MS Word file in my hard disk whenever they came to me while I was jogging, that will be fantastic.
I know how my story is going to be, but putting them in words is tough. =(

English is not my forte.
Can I write in Chinese & some kind soul translate them into English for me instead?

haha =P Just kidding, I don't like to co-write my story.

Yah, I've finally started to pen down my story in words.
Initial plan was to complete it this weekend so that I can concentrate on my exams revision.

Well, plans are just plans. I didn't even finished 1/2 of my story.

It's ok, I know even if I complete my story, I won't start my revision that soon!
Though I'm starting to feel abit of stress after seeing the mock exams qns. =P

Alright, back to the topic on my life chart.

Family has always been a huge part of my life, there is no doubt or any explanation needed on why it took up a big chunk of the pie.

Gf & friends has the same percentage?
Yes, that is how I apportion them.

Once, a female friend of mine qns me on that & from her responses, I guess she felt that it wasn't right or acceptable.
However, to each of his own, yah? ^_^

Thinking back, perhaps that's one of the reasons why I was rejected by sunshine.

She mentioned before that she NEEDS to feel important to her other half; if she starts to feel that the other half treat others just like how she was treated, she'll feel insecure.

An ex of hers who has the same horoscope as me behaves the same way too & I remember she used to comment that the 2 of us are very alike.

If there's a reason why the other person is an ex, it maybe the same reason why I was rejected?

Still, even if I could turn back time, I'll not change the percentage.
My friends have always been with me, whether I'm single or attached.
Therefore, I think they deserve no less than how I treat my gf. =)

The only time my gf gets more than my friends is after we got married.
Coz she'll have become part of my Ohana (40%) + the original 20% she has to her own.

As for work/sch VS hobbies/leisure, they get the same apportion as well.
Simple reason, I am someone who believes in work smart, play hard!
I'm serious when it comes to work but I emphasizes on the importance of rest & relax! =D

Jogging at the stadium

The fat bear went for his jog at the stadium today!

I LOVE JOGGING AT THE STADIUM!

Why? For a whole lot of reasons. . .

Be it alone or with a group of jogging kakis, you are not affected nor will you affect others' speed.

For this entry, let's just focus on jogging at the stadium alone. =)

Anytime the stadium is opened, (except on nights with matches) you can go there alone with ready jogging companions.

You don't know each other but you jog together.

For the fun of it, you may challenge the joggers or follow their pace without them knowing of coz. haha =P
And in case, you faint or sth, at least there're ppl around to provide assistance right away?
Coz usually if I start jogging after the time the stadium is closed, the path I jogged can be quite remote with very few ppl passing it.

Running the treadmill is kind of boring.

Jogging on the pavement exposed us to carbon monoxide from vehicles on the road.
I think only jogging at the stadium provides me with fresh air.

I'm not a speed runner. That's why I avoid jogging with ppl.

I dun like to make ppl wait or slow down for me nor do I like to force myself to keep up with their pace.

I jog to keep fit & most imptly I feel that exercise shld be FUN to keep one going.

When it comes to exercising, all I have are endurance, determination & perseverance.

I may be slow but when I set my target, I keep myself moving towards achieving it. =D

And the target for now, is to lose as much weight in terms of fat loss & gain more muscles by next year Dec.

Travelling along Holland Road. . .

So, he jam brake for god-knows-what-reasons.

And I e-braked.

Cab from behind couldn't stop in time & I heard that bang which caused my heart to sink.

Coming down to investigate, this was the outcome.

Boot can't close, can see the road from the interior of my boot.

Last vehicle - A BMW which hit the cab behind me.

With the double impact, my car move forward & hit into the culprit infront. -_-"

Sonata steel is strong, whoever said Korean cars not as good as Japan models?
Perhaps it's better, look at his rear bumper & mine. =(

I'm perfectly fine, no injury of any sorts.

Now, let's just pray that Baby Vios has a speedy recovery & come home to us fast. =D

What happened cant' be reversed & I believe everything happens for a reason.

The bad luck stops RIGHT now, my luck's so gona shoot up le! =P

What comes after Sunshine?

The sun will rise tomorrow after it sets today & it'll be a whole new day once more.

"Who's your new target now?" / "Anyone new you are seeing now?" / "Are you over Sunshine yet?" / "How are things between the 2 of you?" & the list goes on.

Above are some of the qns I've been asked since news of my rejection was out.
First of all, let me thank those who asked & were concerned. =)

Well, how should I start. . .
Am I sad? Not really, it's more of numbness. Yah, I felt nothing.
Or was it loss? Emptiness? I'm not sure, seriously have no idea what word(s) to describe how I truly feel.
Occasionally, I will drop her a sms. I didn't want to lose contact.
She's definitely a nice friend to have & keep. I do think of her very often. =)
Yes, it never fails in bringing a smile to my face. Every sms from her still have the effect of brightening up my day.

Liking someone for 2 years is a long time. Getting rejected twice should have given me a very clear idea.
Am I ready to let go? To that qns, I always answer, "I'm just letting it be."
However, buddy said, "Buddy, it's not let it be, it's LET IT GO."
It shouldn't be too difficult but it's not that easy either when I've put my whole heart into it.

Perhaps I've given a few the wrong impression that I'm someone who loves easily & changes target faster than I change my wardrobe.
Pls let me try to recover fully 1st & I'll definitely update you folks should someone new comes into my life though.

Just as much as I'm worried abt not being able to meet my Ms Right & start my own family, I don't just skip from one to another or simply settle for anyone less than who I should be with.
I know some ppl around are just as worried & have started their so-called eligible "referrals". haha *lol*
Give me a break ba, leave it to fate to decide for me, can? =) I appreciate your thoughtful efforts though.

A Chinese Ghost Story. . .

Went to watch this movie with Bao Beis.
I've not seen the original version by Leslie Cheung & Joey Wong, it may be a good thing after all.
Coz the "I supposed die-hard fan of Leslie Cheung" reviewer on moviexclusive definitely didn't enjoy the show as much as I did.
Check out his 2stars rating here.

I like Louis Koo & will catch most of his shows featured here.
Liu Yi Fei first caught my attention when she starred in "The Forbidden Kingdom" by Jackie Chan & Jet Li.

Even though the whole movie doesn't worth much of my $10.50 tix, this pair certainly make up for more than 1/2 of it. =)

In conclusion, for eye candies sake or wanting to see Louis in legendary costume, catch the show on the big screen on WEEKDAYS! If u've watched the original version before, then perhaps you might like to wait for the DVD is out? =P

A reader ~~complained~~ commented that my blog has got lesser entries nowadays.
So I replied saying my life has nth interesting to update mah.
I was countered with, "U are not a guy who has boring life since u got so many wives."
Erm, well. . . It's true I have many wives, but . . . better dun say anything. haha *lol*

For a lazy person like me; when lessons fall on Thurs & Fri, you wouldn't wana move an inch on weekends.
Coz I'm mentally drained already.
Plus the 2 modules this semester is really TAXING! =(
To make things worst, there are a few make up lessons on Sat & even Sun!
Sianz to the MAX! *with a hand sign*

As for other days:-
Most Mons, I'll be working out at the gym.
Tues - Usually the only day I make appts to meet up with friends for dinner.
Wed, either I go to the gym again or sacrifice workout day to meet up with friends if my Tues are not enough.

So readers, now you know how "boring/uninteresting" my life is, yah? =P

Not forgetting afew items on my personal to do list; Taiwan itinerary, my story - "By Chance - 邂逅", Forex lessons, etc. . .
On a brighter note, at least I have a fulfilling life thinking how to find time & accommodate the never ending activities & not having to scratch my head on wat to do next? =D

So, after receiving the letter from MOF on the "extra income" coming our way in May, I decide to pamper myself a little bit. Heez =P

As I need to attend extra lessons on 3rd Apr 2011, I can't go back BP for Qing Ming.
So tgt with Qiqi & Xiong, we went back a week earlier. =D 有心就好！=)

Coz the adults were saying better to put them out to the wild if not they will reproduce more kittens & it'll be difficult to take care. Though it's true, to give them away is a sad thing to do. =(

It's the typical S'pore-M'sia type of comedy.
But my tears rolled uncontrollably during certain touching scenes.

Oh! We brought the kiddies to the Cinema & watched "Rango".
My expectations for it was too HIGH & it turned out a bit boring.
Plus, the kids didn't like it & got bored 1/2-way through.
Better to watch DVDs at home the next time. =P
At least if they're bored, they can just run along to play their own games!

Eagle jogged for 3.2km!!
Another small achievement!

Coz poor Jie hafta stay back to complete her work, gym session 2nite was cancelled.
But the still having "3 min craze" aka 三分钟热度 Eagle "forced" himself to bring his little round body out of the house.
Went Wdls Stadium with Qiqi.
I'm slow but we can still run tgt at the same place with different speeds yet get to lose weight tgt!
How GREAT is that? Heez =P

As I was running my 4th round, I forgot if it was the 3rd or 4th round.
I tot it must juz be the 3rd round.
And upon finishing my target of 6 rounds(assumed), I feel that I still have enough energy for another cooling down round.
After Qiqi finished her 12 rounds, she said she only jogged 4 rounds more than me.
Oh, so it was 8 rounds I jogged!! =D

Exercising makes me realized the difference of persistence & strong headedness! =D

Perfect Rivals

Free movie preview at GV Marina for “Perfect Rivals” - 《美好冤家》, tickets won from myPaper! Heez =P
And so, the lucky movie kaki was Xiong!
Coz, I needed to ask some1 who I’m 99% sure is free almost every time I asked.
Then he/she needs to be able to settle dinner on his/her own & collect the tixs first as there’s a cut off collection time. (So, ppl who’s famous for being late is/are not considered – In general, no one in particular)

It was a Sg style std kind of comedy, good enough to make you laugh your troubles away & touching enough to make you nearly tear.
Ok, I admit. The part where Xia Yu keeps repeating, “树倒猴子散” make my tears welled up & I had a bit of difficulty fighting them back.

Last but not least, I’m alwiz on the lookout for pretty faces in the movies I watched.
This beau, Pamelyn Chee齊騛(though I’m sure most won’t agree) certainly is pleasing to the eye.

The fat bear went for his Mon gym workout as usual!

And tonight, I went on the "benchmark" machine Jie wanted me to conquer.
Guess what? I managed to do 10reps of it!!
Wohoo! v(^_^)o I bet it has got to do alot with Jie's "devilish" workout!
Big Thank You to my "personal trainer" Jie!! Heez =P
I lost 1.5kg too. (based on the weighing machine at the gym)

I hope the next time I take my BMI measurement in office, my fat % will go down too!
*keeping fingers crossed*

Oh! And I've a new training buddy with me.
Buddy, it's tough in the beginning.
But for a fitter & stronger body, it's all worth it!

And so, I decided to pluck up all the remaining courage I have & confessed to Sunshine. =P
It was a tough one though.
I guess when one gets older, guts get smaller/lesser.
Ok, mb only for me.

Somehow when we were younger, most of the times, we were not afraid or just don't think of the consequences of our actions/words.

With regards to the decision made in confessing, different ppl ard me have different opinions.
Some were supportive as they felt it has been 2 years, it's time to make things clear & decide on the next move.
Some felt that it is alright to be in the situation we are in currently; at least I still get to go out with her & we can talk abt etg under the sun.
Why do I wana risk the friendship?
Well, there's no wrong in how both groups felt.

But being some1 who once wasted 7yrs waiting for just one gal, I think I don't want to spend another 7yrs praying for a miracle which may nv happen. =)
Juz how many 7 yrs do I have?
I don't think I can afford to wait when I'm looking forward to meeting my right one & get married in a few yrs time.

Why do I feel that it's time I confessed?
Partly coz I was more certain of how I felt towards her after 2 yrs & I tot she can be the one whom I can spend the rest of my life be.
Sadly, the feeling was not mutual.

Well, at least now I have my answer even though it was not wat I desired.
It's time to move on & hopefully onto better things! =D

As the news spread, ppl ard me showed their concern.

I'm alright, really. But if I were to say I'm not sad/hurt, I'll prob be lying to you.
However, I know time heals all wounds.

Mummy said, "别再去打墙壁与灯柱了。" (Don't go smashing against wall & lamp posts again.)
I guess they were "traumatised" by the actions I did when things don't work out b/w me & the gal whom I waited 7yrs for.
Dun worry, folks! That was when I was 17yrs old, I know how to control my emotions better now.
I promise, no silly stuff. I merely need time. =)

I was abit surprised by Mummy's another qns though, "So can still be friends?"
Yes, we are still friends.
Friends who will always be there for each other till forever as we promised. (,")(".)

New target? Tyx probably waiting to see a new entry on this or hear sth abt it.
But nope, not at the moment. I'm really nt as "fast" or flickle-minded as you think. =P

The Kids Are All Right

Watching this show with Sunshine is kind of awkward yet comfy, a dilemma kind of feeling which is difficult to explain thru words.

But yah, both of us like it.
It'd been a long time since I watch a movie with most of the cinema patrons laughing at the same time.

The comedies I watched these few years only got less than 1/2 the theatre laughing at different point of times.

It's quite a nice show with lots of laughter & some touching scenes.
Oh! Coz it's a R21 show, so it has some intimate scenes as well.

Once more, I believe there's a reason for everything. . .
On the 1st day Great Radio Game starts, I used my name to take part.
But I didn't get in. And when I checked the details on the 2nd day, the date clashed with my make up class on 2nd Apr 2011, Sat.

Then not wanting to waste my "talent" in sending sms to 72364, I volunteered to help Shing Shing.
And tadah!! I helped her entered the lucky draw on the 3rd day, 2nd Mar!!!

Early this morning, I received a text from yz on the departure of Shiery.
It was prob the longest sms I ever received from yz.

Having kept many pets before, I can truly feel her loss.
Plus Shiery was with her for almost 18yrs.
The kind of bond they had is irreplaceable.

Dear yz, you may feel tt u've let Shiery down in many ways.
But I'm pretty sure tt she was proud to be ur pet.
No amt of words could heal ur heartache right now.
Piggies can't do much for you but we'll just be here for u if you need us. =P

Keep the memories of Shiery & you in your heart.

When Sarah (Dianna Agron) first appeared in the show, I thought she was beautiful enough.
Then came Number 6 (Teresa Palmer).
Her beauty is enhanced with the super cool role she played in the show.

The conversations between Number 4 (Alex Pettyfer) & Sam (Callan McAuliffe) make you laugh out loud. And the build contrast between them is a perfect fit for the show.

For 2 weeks, I've not have Monday Blues! =D

Last Mon, I started my gym session with Jie & WC.
Today is the 3rd time. =)
Hope to keep this going.

Why the sudden gym sessions & slightly healthier diets?
Though I don't look like, I'm approaching my BIG 3!!!
I'll be celebrating my 30th b'day 2 more years down the road.
For the past 28 years, I've lead a sedentary lifestyle.
All those late nights mj, countless supper, chiong till 4am clubbing & many more "health destructing" activities were conquering my life.
Now, it's time to eliminate them or at least minimize them to the lowest.

Oh, coming back to my no blue Mondays.
The ang mo gym instructor was on duty 2nite!!! \(^_^)/
I think she does Mon shifts. I shall ~~force~~ diligently go for my Mon gym sessions from now on le!

I managed to complete 2.4km (my usual was 1.6km or even pushing to the limit was 2km) during WHP hour tis afternoon & a GREAT gym workout at night.
I'm feeling ENERGIZED & abit healthier.
Slowly, I'll become slightly fitter! (I hope. =P)

《邂逅》- "By Chance"

I'm plotting my new story, 《邂逅》- "By Chance". =D

Inspired by 九把刀- 《等一个人咖啡》& adapted from some real life stories of people around me, I've a rough storyline in mind.

It would be a story written in English (sorry to disappoint the Chinese story lovers like Tyl & maybe Xiao Yun) for most of my blog readers' easy reading.

But there would be a theme song, titled, 《分手季节》which would be in Chinese to try the very least in making up to my readers who like Chinese. =P

I need some help from you folks & at the same time play a small part in this plotting stage.

Do give me some suggestions on the names of the leading characters.

Hey, readers!
I'm back for awhile, missed me? =D
(Ok, at least I "feel" 1 or 2 heads nodding.) *lol* wahaha

Recently, not in the mood to do anything, not the even things I like.
Say, writing songs, blogging, facebooking, blah blah blah. . .
Perhaps it's age, too stressful at work/sch or watever it is. Heez =P

Despite that, I managed to catch 2 movies in Feb! =)
That's quite an achievement to even bring my butt to the theatre.

Oh! And I wrote a new song. (^^,)
Watch out for it in another entry.

Then there was the release of last semester results.
Got 72. If compared to my classmate, it was better.
But it's the worst grade of all the papers I took.
Well, it's over. So just concentrate on the remaining papers. =)

Let's look back on what I've been doing! =D

Watched this with Jie on 13th Feb 2011.

I didn't wana watch this due to 1 of the characters in the show.
But coz of some "hiccups", Jie was late in fetching me.
The only show left with timings available when we reached CWP is this movie.
PLUS, my 2 dearest cousins HIGHLY recommended this show, we decided to give it a shot.
End up, the show was just so-so. (Both Jie & I think so.)
Then Xiong concluded, "Age-gap".
Ok, fine. Whatever! =P

I admit it's funny. (A comedy, wat were u expecting?)
But it's a typical kind of show with an expected ending.
Even 2 of my fave movie stars, Louis Koo & Cecilia Cheung couldn't save the ratings either. -_-"

Went back SDC to catch this show with 2.5 siblings yesterday!

Not only the companion rocks, so do this show!
It is SO mind provoking! Definitely worth watching!!
Alot of my friends around me even watch twice!!
Highly recommended though a bit giddy coz some of the scenes were taken from a camera attached to the lead actor.
Thank god it was not in 3D! =P
I would have vomited my lunch.

And today, I went gym-ing with WC & Jie (our personal "trainer).
It was a devilish workout to me. I have never like going to the gym.
It's just so intimidating with all those BIG sizes folks around. =(
But for a fitter & leaner body, I just gota get myself working out more often!

Jie asked, "Don't you feel your biceps coming out now?"
Hmm. . . Just 1 session? Nah!
But I certainly feel my whole body aching for sure! =P
However, I shall bite on to achieve the body I want. =)

P/S : The female ang moh physical instructor there is very charismatic though. ^_^
She came over once to teach me how to use 1 of the machines. I almost melted. *awww*

CNY 2011!

Since young, we've been going back Batu Pahat every CNY without fail.

From the day I was born till 17yrs of age, I look forward to going back Gma's hse (外婆家) every sch holidays & CNY each year.
I always tell everyone including my mum, "你是我第二最爱的女人，因为我最爱的女人是外婆。"

When gma left us, it took us some time to get used to addressing the house of warmth & comfort to Gpa's hse (外公家). And so, we were still super excited over going back to Gpa's hse for the next 10yrs.

Last year, when I was 27, we have to learn to say that we're going 2nd uncle's hse (二舅家).
However, we (my cousins & us) strongly hope to believe that no matter what is it call, we would always make it a point to gather at 老家 (direct translate : old hse) at least during CNY each year.

This year, we stayed the most no. of days at BP.

There were the usual stuff we do every year. . .

House visiting at all the BP uncles & aunties' houses! =D
Small Uncle - 6th Aunt - 5th Aunt - 3rd Uncle - Small Aunt - 2nd Uncle
小舅 - 六姨 - 五姨 - 三舅 - 小姨 - 二舅

This year, we gave BP funfair a miss & went all the way to Kluang - 居鑾!
Yeah! Thanks to SL's recommendation. It was better indeed!

Brought Mum to eat crabbies at Ghim Moh for her b'day celebration on Sat, 29th Jan 2011!!!

We had a zi char feast at my fave crabbies stall!
The salted egg crab is my fave! =D

After that, we went to watch 《大世界》aka "It's a Great Great World".
Where did we go to watch the movies?
I brought them to Great World City! A place with lots of memories for me.
Afew of the shops still stayed where they used to be some 11 - 12yrs ago.

Anyway, coming back to the movie; I think the storyline is nice.
There's 4 short stories to it & I can't really decide which 1 I like best.
But the last one touched my heart the most.
Oh! I especially love the part where Aunt Lucy makes her guest appearance!! =D
Go catch it this CNY!!

This is the next movie I wana watch!!

Other than because it won awards at some awards ceremony, it's because it has the same title as a new song sang by Shino Lin!! =P
And yah, there are lots of positive reviews on it too. I've got to watch it for myself to decide!!

Aunt Stace, Cyn & Uncle Ivan met up at Civic Mac to have a mini celebration for Sherlina & Sherlyn's b'days on 23rd Jan!!
Coz Mummy Lyn ~~was too lazy~~ didn't managed to book a chalet for their b'days celebration.

The full of expression BB Sherlyn!
She's just like a koala bear, always clinging to her Mummy.
She cried so badly when Mummy Lyn left her under Uncle Ivan's charge coz Mummy needs to bring Sherlina for her shower.

After breakfast & cake cutting, Aunt Stace went home to "keep"(收) [she wanted to say 收拾(tidy)] her house while Aunt Cyn went for CNY shopping.

Uncle Ivan tgt with Mummy Lyn & the b'day girls proceeded to ECP! v(^_^)o

The few hours at the beach turned us (Little Sherlina, Mummy Lyn & Uncle Ivan) into ROAST pigs! *lol* (forgot to take photos tgt)

While I was at the beach watching Sherlina at play, I learnt a valuable lesson.
Sherlina loves swimming. However, it was her first visit to the beach.
We tried asking her to play in the sea but she was too afraid of the waves to do so.

I couldn't get her near the sea at all.
But being the "obedient" kid of Mummy Lyn, she was "forced" to go and get her own water to wet the sand & build her sandcastle.
The first few times, when Mummy Lyn led her to the seaside, she ran off. -_-"

Then the "training" starts.
Mummy Lyn ~~forced~~ made her squat down & feel the sea water first.
Holding hands, they stood there by the sea.
Slowly, Sherlina gets a feel of the sea & overcome her fears.
And that's when she requested Uncle Ivan to bring her into the sea & play!

How amazing is that, right? =D
She learnt not to be afraid of the sea coz she was somehow "forced" to face her fears and indeed she overcome it.
However, as adults, we get to choose to run away from our fears.
In most cases, there's no one who can force us to face our fears & slowly overcome it.
That's why it's usually more difficult to learn new things as we get older due to the fear we have.

Perhaps, we should bring out the kids in us sometimes to see & do things the way they do. (^^,)

Angelina Jolie saves the day!!

I've never believed in reviews, especially for movies & cd albums.
I strongly believe that different people has different liking.
The kind of movies we like to watch & songs we like to listen to can be very different & why should we let someone of a different liking tell us that what we like is NOT NICE?

Despite the low 2point grading given for "The Tourist", I went ahead to watch. Of coz it has got to do with the female lead being Angelina Jolie.
I was prepared to watch it alone IF I can't find anyone to watch with me coz I didn't wana end up like having to watch "Salt" online.
I've never miss a single movie of Angelina since her "Girl, Interrupted". =)
When I can't find movie kaki with me, I just went ahead to watch it alone. =P

I don't understand the low rating for this movie.
Have the reviewers got too used to seeing Angelina Jolie & Johnny Depp taking up roles with deep characters or an action packed movie that they can't adapt to a witty love story by the duo?
Beside being the outstanding agent of all sorts, a good fighter & adventurer, can't Jolie try out a calm investigator of money laundering & an undercover who's prepared to give up everything because of love?
Other than acting as pirate or a chocolate factory mastermind, Johnny can't take up new acting occupation like a Maths teacher who falls in love with a woman he met on the train?
I certainly think otherwise. They definitely did well in carrying out the roles played in "The Tourist".

And have the so called professional reviewers took notice of how beautiful a place Venice is?
The calmness & beauty of that city is probably why the production crew decided to film the show there.
Perhaps, we need to learn to look beyond what only the eyes can see.

Angelina saved my day that was filled with anger.
I'd wanted to blog abt that frustrating issue but all thanks to the following, I'm much better already:-
1) Angelina for starring in The Tourist & letting me have a show to watch after a hard day at work.
2) Shirleen, Li Shan & Henry for watching the show with me & the talk crap dinner session after that.
3) Super duper cute Yoshi running around the house in his running ball & looking at me with his dreamy eyes which never fails to melt my heart.
4) Qiqi for asking me what's wrong & letting me vent for 15mins, then to calm me down by saying, "看开点。"
5) Mum for reminding me, "Don't be angry with such people over this kind of issue, it only make you age faster!"
6) Last but not least, the nice weather when I got home for allowing me to have a 1/2 an hr jog to sweat it all out.

Before I end, let me share what Elise (Angelina's role in "The Tourist") said, "Everybody has two sides, the good & the bad, past & future. We must embrace both in the person we love."

Yoshi's our CHAMPION!

Went Parkway Parade for Yoshi's 1st Hamster Run Competition.
Was super excited about it!

Before the race starts, they featured GIANT rabbits from Canada.
They were REALLY huge!
You can't see the size from the photo but the white one is the GIANT rabbit & the grey one is the normal size you see often.
P/S : The small one was actually *ehem* (sth-ing) the big one.

There were 15 hamsters in total & Yoshi was supposed to be in the 1st open round.

However, he was stressed out (prob coz the place was too noisy).
He kept hiding in his hut & refused to come out.

Managed to finally lure him out into his running ball!

But to be fair to other hamsters, we hafta use their running balls.

Yoshi's in the blue lane!
He was really scared coz he pee in the ball during the first round & left a trail (marking his territory) on the lane. *lol*

Yoshi came in 2nd! =D

Though he only won the 2nd place in the competition, he's our NO. 1!!

My HAPPIEST time at SDC!

We just went for our annual outing this year on Mon, 10th Jan 2011.
During the trip, Shirleen asked me a random qns, "When was your happiest time in SDC?"
I didn't answer but I was thinking. . .

I went back to look through all the photos I've taken since I joined SDC.

This was what I found & I think that was really my happiest time at SDC.
Virgos are perfectionist & we love PEACE.

When our "family" was complete & loving, I was at my HAPPINESS peak. =D

Time & environment can changes alot of things including humans.
In answering another random question posted to me, my answer is. . .

"At a certain environment with a bit of fate, we met & became a clique. From there, feelings of closeness developed among us. Even when 1 day, each & everyone of us goes our separate ways, we are still a group IF we choose to do so. Being physically apart, we can still be connected emotionally. Friends whom I made along the path of life, I seldom lose & forget about them even when we do not meet for years. When there are areas you need help in, I'll always try to help if it's within my means to do so. (,")(".)"

Last but not least, I tried & still trying my BEST to love each & every of my wives equally showing no favouritism. Coz everyone of you are special in your own unique ways. v(^_^)o

My daddy has just enrolled me in the Hamster Run Competition!
I'm uber excited about my 1st competition!!
We would be going for the registration at 1.30pm.

I decide to give Baby Vios a rest day.
So, after seeing the doc at Tanglin Shopping Centre, I walked to Cine for my indoor tan.
Had wanted to go ECP, but looking at the weather these few days, I didn't wana take the risk.
After that, it was another walk to Bugis temple. It started to drizzle along the way.
Luckily, I didn't head to ECP or I would have make a wasted trip. =P

Next stop was HSA. This is the 1st time I was rejected for blood donation. =(
My sis, Qiqi & CL always get rejected for their low iron count.
They tried all ways to eat those foods that are high in iron as much as they could to build up their iron level.
BUT I was actually rejected coz mine was too HIGH!
Can I donate some of my iron to them then?

Saw an interesting quote on someone's tee today, "If I were you, I'd love me too!"

The first 3 days of 2011!!

I've stopped writing new journal entries since 18th Oct 2010 when Gpa left us.
Somehow, I just lost the interest or feel a need to write anymore.

And perhaps, I felt that I'm doing the same thing twice as most of what I wrote in my journal is what I posted here on my blog.
Since I can add on photos in my blog to make it slightly "interesting", why not just do it once?

Yah, so here goes a short update of what happened on the first 3 days of the new year 2011:-

Went for the countdown party at Lunar on 31 Dec 2010 with tyl & her friend, Shwu Yan.

Though I still get the "HIGH-NESS" from Qiqi's performance, I think that night probably marks the last of my clubbing days.
When I told Xiong that, his first qns was, "Why? Qiqi is quitting?"
Haha *lol* I think that's what most people would guess too.
Well, I'm not sure if she's leaving anytime soon.
But I'm quitting the clubbing scene as I think it's about time to start taking care of my own health & the well being of my not-too-young body.
No longer can I chase away the fatigue of an overnight chiong-ing with 4 hours of sleep & wake up feeling as energetic as a dragon.
Even after 12 - 24hours of sleep, I still feel weak like a worm, wanting to hibernate more on my bed.
So yah, afew drinks every now & then should still be fine. But overnight chiong-ing needs to stop.

On the 2nd day of 2011, we had our WHP handover & bonding chalet at Pasir Ris Coasta Sands.

Yes, just when I said I need to start turning in early for a better & healthier body.
We (Diane, Shirleen, Cynthia, Jonathan & I) stayed up till 4am just to play Monopoly Deal - the new craze in town!
You just got to agree it is the MUST HAVE in thing when your newly addicted friends have to travel afew shopping malls just to buy their FIRST pack of Monopoly Deal cards on 31st Dec 2010.
I think everyone's stocking up afew packs each too. wahaha *lol*

When 2010 reaches an end, we're counting down anything & everything in one way or another.

Music has always been a BIG part of me.

When I was riding, I plugged on my mp3 before setting off.

When I went suntanning, I bring along my mini radio or my mp3 player.

When I switched on the PC at home, the 1st application I click on is my winamp even if I only needed to use the comp for 5mins.

When I reached office, the 1st thing I switch on is my radio.

Yes, and I can go on & on about how music affects my daily life, my whole life.

But the motive of this entry is to share with you the songs that managed to touch my heart, attracted my ears & captured my soul.

Initially, I've only wanted to put Top 10 but it was difficult eliminating the nice songs I've heard. So, I ended up choosing Top 15 of my fave songs for the year.

Sharing my logcake recipe!

Christmas is coming & it's all about sharing!
So, here's your friendly blog owner, Eagle Ivan sharing the recipe I used for making my log cake!

This is the rainbow rice log cake I made according to Little Sherlina's request & at the same time serves as a birthday cake for Rochelle.
Click on the photo above for the recipe which I followed through.

Tips :-
1) Watch the videos at least afew times till you understand what to do.
2) Take down any necessary info which you deem important while watching.
3) In case you missed it; if you can't catch up with what the baker is saying, scroll down the page, there's video transcript of what was said in the video.
4) As for the filling, I would suggest you get it ready the day before you want to bake your cake. Store in the fridge to chill NOT freeze.
5) After you've let the sponge cake cool down for around 5 mins when removed from the oven, roll it with kitchen towel to continue cooling.
*If it's cooled for too long without rolling, it would crack when you want to roll it.*
6) As for the final chocolate frosting, I've tried from all different recipes, but it melted VERY FAST. So, don't bother, just buy ready make one like the one shown below.

Use a double boiler to melt the cream & start applying on the sponge cake.
*Double boiler - boil a pot of water, place your chocolate cream in a bowl & put the bowl in the pot of water.*

Last but not least, HAVE FUN baking your log cake this Christmas!! (^^,)

Making of logcakes 2010!

I was AMBITIOUS, thinking how difficult can it be to follow online recipe step by step instructions & make a logcake?

Oh man! It was quite tough as I didn't know what really to expect & afew hiccups happened along the way. -_-"

And when the filling of my 1st logcake failed twice, I nearly give up & threw away the sponge cake. Luckily, I was determined to make a logcake for Sunshine. So. . .

The stressed up baker at work. . .

Can someone tells me how to roll & make it stay?! -_-"
I nearly wana google for "cake glue" & stick my swissroll.

Finally, after the 3rd attempt, I managed to whisk a good filling.

However, I overestimated the amount & it spilled out. . . -_-"
Worry not, for those 1st timer!
Coz at the end of it all, you'll cover these "ugly" spills with the final choco frosting on top.

I cut a slice for Shannon(my 1st available guinea pig) to try.

She purposely took this photo to show that it looks like erm. . .
Yah, a pile of shit. haha *lol*

Final product of my 1st logcake!
And I thought, "See! It's just that easy as expected!"

But. . .

Just within 1/2 an hr, the choco frosting melted!

By 2 hours. . .

This is the state of my logcake! ='(

Poor reindeer fell off afew times!
And poor 1st batch of guinea pigs (KA Gang) have to finish the whole huat kueh taste alike logcake for me!
Thanks my girls! (^^,)

But baker Ivan was determined to make a successful logcake for Sunshine!

So, he attempted a 2nd time!

Ah! Now, at least it looks like a logcake.

The look was not that bad, but it tasted like kueh lapis! -_-"

After first 2 terribly failed attempts, I was SUPER worried about the final product. . .
But, I wanted to bake her a logcake so badly...
And I refused to give up. . .

I changed the recipe of my spongecake!

Tadah! At least, it looks more presentable now. =P

When the sponge cake turns out pretty good, I became abit more ambitious (yes, once more) & adventurous.
I cut out the side & pasted it on the main logcake to make it look "professional" & more logcake like.

I'm quite satisfied with the overall presentation.
Taste wise, have to wait for the verdict after Sunshine tries it.
*prays* hard & keeping my fingers crossed. =P

A Happy Married Life

Usually, when I go to a temple, I would browse the area where the donated books are.
They are called 结缘品. Direct translation would mean an item by fate.
You can take anything you like from there as well as donate any religious books, tapes, CDs, etc.

When I was at the temple, 十八罗汉 at the main road to my Gpa's hse, I saw this book.
Without hesitation, I took the book home. =)
At age 27, with friends around you getting married & having kids, don't you feel an urge or a need to?

I don't know about you, but for me, yes.

Is it a need? An urge? Or a paternity calling?
I'm not sure.

What I do know is that I want to get married with the woman I love & have afew little ones running our house to complete a family.
Of coz, before that, I need to find a gf. =P

That's also one of the reasons why I'm not asking anyone(someone in particular) to be my gf just yet.
I seriously hope that my next gf would be my last & she is The One to walk down the aisle with me.

We definitely need more time to understand each other better & if we're suitable for each other.
Most importantly, I need alot more time & effort to convince her after I'm sure myself that the choice is right.

Sy said, "Hope your perseverance works out."
I definitely hope so. =D

At the back of this book, it wrote, "If a man can find a suitable and understanding wife and a woman can find a suitable and understanding husband, both are fortunate indeed." -The Buddha.

As most of you should know by now, I'm a SUPER DUPER slow reader.
I'm only starting Chapter 5 -Security, Respect and Responsibilities. Heez =P

But, there are meaningful phases I would like to share after finishing 4 chapters so far.
*clap* *clap* Some encouragement for even opening this book to start reading after like taking this book home since afew mths back.

In the 1st Chapter - The Nature of Love and Pleasure:-
There's a paragraph that says ...

When beauty, complexion and youth start to fade away, a husband who considers only the physical aspects of love may think of acquiring another younger one. That type of love is animal love or lust. If a man really develops love as an expression of human concern for another being, he will not lay emphasis only on the external beauty and physical attractiveness of his partner. The beauty and attractiveness of his partner should be in her heart and mind, not in what he sees. Likewise, the wife who follows Buddhist teachings will never neglect her husband though he has become old, poor or sick.

For Chapter 2 on The Reality of Married Life:-
Some meaningful paragraphs. . .

Young people who read romantic novels and watch romantic films often conclude that marriage is a bed of roses. Unfortunately, marriage is not as sweet as one thinks.

If a couple can share pain and pleasure in their day-to-day life they can console each other and minimise their grievances.

Man and woman need the comfort of each other when facing problems and difficulties. The feelings of insecurity and unrest will disappear and life will be more meaningful, happy and interesting if there is someone who is willing to share another's burden.

The Buddhist Concept of Marriage in the 3rd Chapter shares:-

Just because he warned one against problems in marriage does not mean that the Buddha condemned marriage.

Here, religious advice is important for maintaining a tranquil life. However, a man should not become a slave to any religion. Man is not for religion, religion is for man. That means man must know how to make use of religion for his betterment and for his happiness in a respectable way. Simply by following certain religious vows, precepts or commandments with blind faith or by force, thinking that we are duty-bound to observe them will not develop proper understanding. One important aspect of Buddhism is that the Buddha did not impost any religious laws or commandments. The Buddha was a unique teacher who had set out a number of disciplinary codes for us to uphold according to our way of life. Those who follow the precepts observe them voluntarily but not as obligatory religious laws. It is up to us to follow the advice through our own understanding and experience of what is good for us and for others. Through trial and error, we learn to follow the advice which will give us peace and happiness.

I found one of the answers I'm seeking for in Chapter 4 - The Religious Dilemma
These few paragraphs pointed me the direction I should head for. . .

*Individual Rights
One of the greatest causes of concern among those who do not belong to the non-semitic religions is the problem of conversion before marriage. While Buddhists and Hindus never demand that a couple must belong to the same religion before a marriage can be solemnised, many others tend to take advantage of this tolerance.

Marriage, contrary to what many romantic novels say, does not mean the total and absolute merging of two people to the extent that each loses his or her own identity. When a religion demands that both partners must have the same religious label, it denies the basic human right of an individual to believe what he or she wants. Societies throughout history have proved that "Unity in Diversity" is not only possible but desirable. Out of diversity comes GREATER respect and understanding. This should apply to marriage also. There are many living examples all over the world where the husband and wife maintain their own beliefs and yet are able to maintain their happy married life without confronting each other.

Buddhists do not oppose the existence of other religions even within the same household. Unfortunately, this generous attitude has been exploited by unscrupulous religionists who are out to gain converts by all means.

Intelligent Buddhists must be aware of this stratagem. NO SELF-RESPECTING INTELLIGENT HUMAN BEING WHO REALLY UNDERSTANDS WHAT HE BELIEVES ACCORDING TO HIS OWN CONVICTION SHOULD GIVE UP HIS BELIEFS MERELY TO SATISFY THE MAN-MADE DEMANDS OF ANOTHER RELIGION. Buddhists do not demand that their partners embrace Buddhism. Neither should they surrender their own beliefs.

Therefore, it is most important for one to know that if there is a process of conversion involved, it must be based on true conviction and not mere convenience or compulsion. Buddhists maintain the freedom of the individual to choose. This principle should be respected by all.

P/S : Though this is a book written by a well-known Dharma speaker, Ven Dr. K. Sri Dhammananda with a Buddhist perspective, believers of other religions may read it as reference in leading a happy married life.

May all beings have happy unions and lead peaceful and contented lives! =)

I'm glad I've been able to attend all of Sammi's concerts in Sg since 2004/5.
And MOST IMPORTANTLY of all, it's FREE everytime! =D

In April this year, I attended Sammi's Love Mi Concert.
06th Nov 2010, she came back to Sg for her Love Mi More Concert!
I was one of the lucky few to win a pair of tixs from my fave radio stn, Y.E.S FM93.3!!

In case, u're wondering who went with me.
It was my buddy, Shuon.
He had wanted to give me a chance to go with my sunshine gal, Ping.
But she has already booked a trip to Bintan.

So, with the lucky chance to watch his 1st concert ever, he helped me to take lots of photos!
Coz I promised Ping I would take lots of photos for her viewing.

Yah, she's 38yrs old & if u didn't noe, she has asthma.

But as a frequent gym patron, she is pretty strong still!

So, com'on, 3 cheers to her hard work!

31st Oct 2010 - Went onto Sg Flyer with Mummy & Qiqi.

Had been wanting to bring Mummy for the Sg Flyer trip.
I'm glad I finally fulfilled the promise. =)

As per recommended by friends who went before, we went on board at 6pm+.
They said that was the BEST timing as you get to enjoy the daylight scenery as well as the sunset moments and then the night landscape view. =D

Indeed the scenery on the flyer were pretty but the whole flight was pretty boring.
Luckily it was FREE with ASA card! Heez =P
I wouldn't spend $29.50 for this siaz!
However, most importantly is we enjoyed the companionship! v(^_^)o

Grandpa's departure. . .

18th Oct 2010 - Small aunt called at around 3pm.

In the less than a min call, I couldn't get much details but the message was clear.
Gpa had an accident. He has left us.

The fact has not yet even fully registered in my mind.
All I know is I have to inform the rest of my family members.

7pm, we (Mum, Qiqi, Shannon, Xiong & 1st aunt) left Sg with heavy hearts for our hometown, Batu Pahat.

"Do not cry. Some stuff has not been settled yet." came small aunt's sms while we are around 1/2 an hr away from home.

Gpa's body was placed in the living room. He looks like he was sleeping.
There was a long stitch horizontally across his head, blue black at the centre of his forehead, slight scratches on his face & right side of forehead dented.

At 1st, we thought his head cracked upon landing head down.
Nope, the pathologist opened his skull to examine & to confirm he passed away due to head injuries.
Isn't it very obvious with the dented forehead?
But well, all's over, so let it be.

How did it all happen?
Gpa was out on his bike to buy incense paper.
Based on what 2nd uncle saw at the scene, his guess was the hot weather probably caused Gpa's blood pressure to rise.
Thus, he felt faint & lost control of his bike. He might have turn the throttle & his bike hit a kerb.
The next moment, he was threw off his bike & he landed head down.

It was clear that Gpa didn't collapsed immediately.
When 5th aunt reached, Gpa was holding tightly to his Buddha beads bracelet.
Therefore, her guess was he probably took it out & was praying for a miracle which obviously didn't come true.

The 5 days were like a dream, so unreal.
Quoted from Shannon, "If this was a nightmare, let me wake up and grandpa would still be here. if grandpa is still with us is a dream, then don't let me wake up from this dream."

It really seem that Gpa was just away for holidays like any other time.
We were merely waiting for him to return from his trip.
The hard fact of his demise couldn't get into my mind at all.

For the 5 days of wake, I lost my tears.
They didn't came, not that I was trying to ctrl.
But when I saw Gpa's coffin being pushed into the cremation machine, I cried.
It's like finally I hafta accept the fact that he has passed on & that's the last I would see of him.

Life's quite pathetic, isn't it?
All that's of you is placed inside a coffin just right of your size.
Then when you are cremated, what's left are just ashes to be stored in an even smaller urn.

We should really make full good use of our lives & not let there be any regrets. =)

Gpa has lead an interesting life.
He left behind 11 children, 29 grandchildren & a great grand son.

We had him for 10 more years already.
It's time we "returned" him to Gma & let them reunite.

Birth, old age, sickness & death are inevitable in life.
We just have got to accept it no matter we like it or not.

Looking on the bright side; there would be 2 persons answering our prayers & be our spiritual support from now on.
They would watch us well from Heaven.
So give your best in everything you do; you may not see them witnessing your success, but they would definitely be there in another form.

Gpa, gma, next life, we would still want to be your grandchildren. (,")(".)

My Yoshi is not GREEN!

Once I re-start, I can't stop. I noe I need my little companion.
So, I went in search of my next pet.

Diane & Stephanie went Anchor Point with me coz I wanted to buy my hammie.
But none of the hammies there "touched" my heart or make me develop feelings for them.

Den, we went over to Vivo. After standing there for 1/2 an hr, looking & laughing at the little actions of those hammies, we choose the smallest yellow pudding.

He's a determined fellow. There was only one running wheel in the cage & the biggest hamster was using it. This little hammie tried all means & ways just to get on the wheel. In the end, he got tossed & turned alot of times by the big hammie. The ladies commented, "Never give up de. Just like Ivan!"

In the end, little hammie got his way. Probably b'coz the big hammie find him a nuisance keep disturbing. He managed to run on the wheel! =)

We brought little hammie to Henderson Waves at Hort Park for a "romantic walk". There was no wind. -_-" We were cracking our brains thinking of a name for him. They gave suggestions like "Dreamy", "Ash", "Darkie", "Sunshine", etc, but I didn't wana name him those.

After sending the ladies home, "Yoshi" came to mind. Den when I showed Mum my new pet, she asked me for his name. "游戏 ?" she asked. Ok, that's it. Save me the trouble of thinking a chi name for Yoshi. =P

Now, let's welcome Yoshi (游戏) to the family!! Oh, he's having the same b'day as me coz he's 6wks old! v(^_^)o

Fluffy (30 June 10 - 06 Oct 10)

On Monday, she was still running around her cage in joy. =)

And I took her photo while she was happily drinking.

When I returned home from school on Wed, she was breathing heavily.
I took her out of the cage & placed her on my palms. I patted her & her heavy breathing continue, her eyes kept shut. As I stroke her forehead, she responded by moving her paws trying to reach my hand. I spoke to her & say, "Baby, don't worry. You're gona be alright & will recover in no time."

After I came out of my shower, she laid lifelessly in her cage. . . ='(
I duno the reason y. She's probably already wasn't healthy when I first brought her home.

The 1st few days, we hafta wipe vaporub ard her cage so she can breathe & slp better. Then she started to grow, so we thought she has recovered. Perhaps, she didn't.

But I know she's enjoying herself in animals' heaven with her past siblings now.
She's in good hands too. =)

I'm thankful for Qiqi who keeps Fluffy in her prayers everyday. I'm glad that Shannon agrees to dedicate 06 Oct 10 to Fluffy in her Project 365, remember to draw her as an angel. =)

I'm touched when I received this sms from Mum, "Fluffy 昨天我还看它好好的今天就不见了 :'(".

Her :'( touched me & brought tears to my eyes.

Due to some other reasons previously, I've been wanting to cry to make myself feel better. But I don't need Fluffy's departure to make my tears flow. I would rather she still be around to listen to me.

On a sidenote : I think I'm connecting better with Mum these 2 years. I feel that she's been miraculously feeling my emotions & at times blurt out stuff that stunned me. -_-" Her mind seems to be wandering whenever I keep her updated of my life, but she really was listening. Coz she remembered wat I've told her. haha =P That's a good thing though.

I got to know this amazing actress 10years ago when the show, Girl, Interrupted was released in Sg in year 2000.

I was never good in recognizing western actors & actresses; be it back then or now. But she caught my eyes, the looks at first & then the acting. Of coz, I must said the storyline is fantastic & she has got a good role though she was juz the supporting actress.

Since then, the name, Angelina Jolie got stuck in my mind & heart. I never missed a single movie of hers.

Her 1st show I've watched.

Lara Croft Tomb Raider : The Cradle of Life

In year 2003, I went to watch this movie alone. Coz the schedules of mine & my few movie kakis' back then simply can't fit. And I definitely am not willing to wait till the DVDs are out to show my support for her. So, that was the 1st time I went for a movie alone. On a Sat morning somemore! *_*

However, after the 1st time, I realized it's not such a bad thing to watch a movie alone. In fact, I even went for other few movies alone when I wanted to watch a certain movie that badly & can't fix a good time with my friends. =P

Not lonely but carefree. It's another kind of feeling & experience altogether. But anyway, I was a loner to begin with. So, that wasn't a big difficulty.

The latest show of Angelina Jolie!

Due to a couple of reasons & some unforeseen circumstances, I didn't managed to catch this show. =( I was pretty disappointed as I thought this was gona be the 1st show of hers that I'll missed. But thanks to Shirleen's recommendation, I managed to stay home on a ~~emo-ing~~ relaxing Fri with my bottle of Hoegaarden & watch this fabulous movie on my own. =D

Though I didn't manged to catch it on the BIG screen, I still love it as much! I bet the effects would be MUCH BETTER if I've watched it in cinema theatres. On the positive side, at least I didn't miss her show! v(^_^)o

The line I loved in this movie, "I do not want to be safe. I know you. And I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Okay?"
